 Family Center a place to give students a chance to have their own small business 

 

Mrs. Gzing Ahmed Wusso is one of the women who participated for the first time in the sewing class in 2009.  She is now one of the best tailors in Rapareen.  She has a large number of customers from women to children.  

She describes how she began her own business, she said “For the first time in 2009, I participated in one of the sewing classes at Family Center with Mrs. Ashti.  I always wanted to learn sewing so I picked up sewing skills very quickly. After the class, I purchased a sewing machine and began sewing clothes for my family and neighbors. In the beginning we didn’t have many customers, but day by day I began gaining more and more customers as my skills improved.

One year later, I realized that I needed to learn more, so I took a second class at the Family Center. Especially, when I found out that Mrs. Peri would be the instructor. I learned many new techniques in the class. Enthusiastically, I graduated from the class and was prepared to be a better tailor, sewing house clothes, dresses, and formal attire for women.

Once Mrs. Gzing learned new sewing skills and techniques, she had new customers and being a tailor became her main job.  The reason she wanted to be a tailor, she said, “I never went to school and I never graduated from primary school. I left school at grade 3.  Becoming a tailor was important for me to have income for myself and to help my husband with everyday costs.  More importantly, I wanted an activity that I would enjoy doing during my free time, and that is why I enjoy what I do. In addition, it makes me so happy to be able to give discounts to my customers during this financial crisis. This is why I have a lot of customers.”

Mrs. Gzing describes why the Family Center is important she said, “I try to encourage all the women to participate in the Family Center classes, and I show them how I was able to start my business because of the classes I took at the Family Center.  If Family Center wasn’t here, I would be jobless.  That’s why I would like to thank all of the staff at Family Center and I hope the Family Center continues to keep the good work going. One thing that surprises me is that Family Center is a non-profit community center.  This is unique for Sulaymaniyah, they are one of a kind and the Family Center is well known for their service in the area.”

We at the Family Center are so grateful that we are able to see people’s dreams come true like Mrs. Gzing.  We are thankful to God that we can bring joy and inspiration to the families here.  As we always say, if you would like to learn any new skills, then please come to Family Center.  Because it’s a place for all people to come learn and feel at home.

گزنگ ئەحمەد وسوو، یەکێکە لەو خانمانەی کە بۆ یەکەمجار لە ساڵی ٢٠٠٩دا لە کڵاسی دروومانی سەنتەرەکەماندا بەشداری کردووە، ئەو لە ئێستادا یەکێکە لە بەرگ درووە زۆر کارامەکانی گەرەکی ڕاپەرین. لە ئێستادا ژمارەیەکی زۆر لە خانمان بۆ دورینی جل وبەرگەکانیان سەردانی (گزنگ) دەکەن. ئەو دەربارەی چیرۆکی بوون بە بەرگ درووی جل و بەرگی منداڵان ژنان بەمجۆرە دەگێڕێتەوە و دەڵێت:

بۆ یەکەمجار لە ساڵی ٢٠٠٩ لە خولێکی دروومانی فامیلی سەنتەر بە سەرپەرشتی مامۆستا (ئاشتی) بەشدار بووم. بە خۆشحاڵیەوە لەماوەی چەند مانگێکدا بە هۆی ئەوەی زۆر خولیای فێربوونی هونەری درومان بووم و  هیچ کارێکی دیکەم نەبوو، توانیم بە باشی فێری بڕین و دورینی جل و بەرگی منداڵان ببم، هەر پاش ئەوە مەکینەیەکم کڕی و لە ماڵی خۆمان دەستم بە کارکردن بۆ کەسە نزیکەکان و دراوسێکانم کرد. لە سەرەتادا ژمارەیان زۆر کەم (مشتەری)م هەبوو، بەڵام رۆژ لە دوای ڕۆژ بە هۆی ئەوەی کە بە دڵسۆزی کارم دەکرد و کارەکەم خۆشەدەویست ژمارەیان زیادی کرد". 

گزنگ پاش لە ساڵێک لەکارکردن هێشتا دەیەوێت زیاتر فێر بێت بۆیە دیسانەوە لە خولێکی دیکەی سەنتەرەکەمان بەشداری دەکات، دەربارەی ئەم خولە دەڵێت: کاتێک زانیم سەنتەرەکەتان خولێکی دیکەی درومان بە سەرپەرشتی مامۆستای لێهاتوو (پەری خان) دەکاتەوە، بەمەستی زیاتر فێربوونی هەندێک تەکنیکی دیکەی دروومان بریارمدا بەشداری لە خولەکەدا بکەم، بە خۆشحاڵییەوە ئەو خولەشم بە سەرکەوتووی تەواو کرد، کە ئیدی بە تەواوەتی فیری سەرجەم جۆرەکانی جل و بەرگی ژنان و منداڵان وەک (ماکسی، عەزی، جل و بەرگی کوردی ژنان، کراس و بەدی ... هتد بووم". پاش ئەم خولە ژمارەی ئەو کەسانەی کە سەردانی دەکەن زیاد دەکات و بە تەواوەتی دەبێتە پیشەی سەرەکی بۆ گزنگ. ئەو دەربارەی ئەم لایەنە دەڵیت: بە هۆکاری ئەوەی من خوێندن تەنها تا قۆناغی سێی سەرەتایم خوێندووە و هیچ بڕوانامەیەکم نییە، فێر بوونی ئەم پیشەیە بۆ من زۆر گرنگ بوو، تا بتوانم خاوەنی داهاتی خۆم بم و لە رووی داراییشەوە هاوکاری هاوسەرکەشم بم، هەروەها کاتەکانیشم بە کارکردن بەسەر بەرم، بۆیە تا ئێستا زۆر لە کارەکەم رازیم زۆر ئاسوودەم. جگە لەوە ئاسودەم بەوەی کە بە نرخێکی کەم کار بۆ خەڵک دەکەم و هاوکاری ئەو کەسانە دەکەم کە سەردانم دەکەن، ئەمەش هۆکارێکە کە رۆژانە ژمارەی (مشتەری)یەکانم لە زیادبووندابن. بەتایبەت لەم کاتی قەیرانی داراییەدا توانیومە هاوکارێکی باشی خەڵک لە روی هەرزانی دروورینمەکانمەوە و هەروەها پشتیوانی دارایی خانەوادەکەم بم". 

گزنگ دەربارەی گرنگی بۆ خانمان گوتی: "من زۆرێک لە ژنان هان دەدەم کار بکەن، تەنانەت زۆر جار خۆم شێوازەکانی جل دورین فێری دراوسێ و کەسە نزیکەکانم دەکەم، زۆرجار هانیان دەدەم کە چۆن بتوانن لە ماڵەوە جل و بەرگی خۆیان بدوورن، یاخود هانیان دەدەم، کە سەردانی فامیلی سەنتەر بکەن تاوەکو لە کلاسەکانیدا بەشێوەیەکی زانستی سوود مەندبن". ئەو لە کۆتای قسەکانیدا گووتی:

من ئەو کارەی هەمە، سەرچاوەی سەرەکیم و پشتیوانی سەرەکیم بە فامیلی سەنتەر دەزانم، چونکە ئەو خولانەی ئەو سەنتەرە نەبووایە دەشێت من نەدەبوومایەتە ئەم خاوەنکارەی ئێستا، فامیلی سەنتەر هۆکارێک بوو، کە منی کردە خاوەن کار و پیشەی تایبەت بە خۆم. بۆیە هەمیشە سوپاس گوزاری ئەو سەنتەرەم و سوپاسی تەواوی ئەوستافە بەڕێزەتان دەکەم. بە هیوام بەردەوام بن لە خزمەت کردنی ئەو کەسانەی کە پێویستیان پێتانە، ئەوەی هەمیشە پێی سەرسامم ئەوەیە کە سەنتەرەکەتان قازانج نەویستە و سەرەڕای ئەوە هاوکارییەکی زۆر پێشکەش بە خەڵك دەکات، دەتوانم بڵێم: ئێوە تاکە سەنتەرن کە بەم جۆرە جیاوازە کاردەکەن، بۆیە هەمیشە کارەکانتان لاکە ی خەڵكی ناوچەجێگەی سوپاس و ڕێزە". لە کۆتایدا ئێمە وەک ستافی سەنتەرەکەمان وێرای سوپاس گوزاریمان بۆ لێدوانەکەی خاتووگزنگ،زۆر دڵخۆشین کە دەبینین یەکێک ئامانجەکانی سەنتەرەکەمان کە (دروستکردنی دەستی کارە) هاتۆتە دی و خەڵکانێکی وەک خاتوو گزنگ  لە رێگای فامیلی سەنتەرەوە بوونەتە خاوەن کار و پیشەی خۆیان تا رادەیەک توانیویانە خۆشگوزارانی بۆ خۆیان و خانەوادەکانیان بە دەستبێنن. بەهیوای بەردەوامی و سەرکەوتن بۆ سەرجەم ئەو کەسانەی سەردانمان دەکەن، هەمیشە دروشمی ئێمەیە  وتومانە گەر دەتەوێ ئاسودە بیت و سوود وەرگری سەردانی فامیلی سەنتەر بکە، چونکە ئەوێ ماڵێکی بە سوودە بۆ هەموان.
